Kikook

These terms form the agreement between you and the independent developer who builds and runs Kikook. By creating an account, or by using the app without one, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Kikook.
They are written to be readable. That is deliberate, and they are no less binding for it.
Kikook suggests recipes. You tell it what you have — by typing, by scanning a photo of your fridge, or from the pantry you keep in the app — and it proposes something to cook, adapted to your preferences and your equipment.
It is a cooking assistant and an idea generator. It is not a nutrition service, not a dietary programme, and not a source of medical, health or food-safety advice.
This is the most important section of this document.
Recipes in Kikook are generated by an AI model. It can make mistakes. It can suggest an ingredient you are allergic to, miss a contamination risk, propose an unsafe cooking time or temperature, or misjudge how long something keeps. It has never seen your kitchen, your ingredients or their condition.
You remain responsible for what you cook and eat. In particular:
Ingredients detected from a photo are the AI's best guess and are regularly wrong. Always check the list before cooking from it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any illness, allergic reaction, injury or loss resulting from a recipe, an ingredient suggestion, an ingredient detection, or any other content in Kikook.
Recipes, descriptions, cooking steps, estimated times, answers to your follow-up questions, refusal explanations and photo ingredient detection are all produced by an artificial intelligence system. No human reviews them before you see them.
Content may therefore be inaccurate, incomplete, strange or occasionally nonsensical. Two identical requests may produce different results. Nothing generated is a professional recommendation of any kind.
We claim no ownership over the recipes generated for you, and we cannot guarantee that a generated recipe is original or that a similar one does not exist elsewhere.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and the details you provide must be accurate. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account.
Verifying your email address is required before generating recipes, because it is the only way we can help you recover your account later.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Please use Kikook as intended. Do not try to break, overload or bypass the service, do not automate requests, do not attempt to extract or misuse the underlying AI model, do not use the app for anything unlawful, and do not upload photos containing other people's personal information.
Requests are rate-limited so the service stays available for everyone. An account that abuses the service may be suspended or closed.
Kikook offers an optional Premium subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, never directly with us. Kikook never sees or handles your card or payment details: your store does. Subscription status reaches us through RevenueCat, which links a purchase to your account identifier only.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in Kikook, and takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting your Kikook account does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are governed by the store you purchased through and by its policies, not by us. As a consumer in the European Union you may have a statutory right of withdrawal, which is exercised through your store.
Kikook is usable for free, within limits: a number of recipes per day, one photo scan per week, a maximum pantry size, a limited recipe history and one follow-up question per recipe. Premium removes them.
These limits are part of what keeps the service affordable to run, and they may change. Without an account, you get one free recipe on that device.
The app itself — its name, design, code and text — belongs to its developer.
What you enter stays yours: your pantry, your preferences, the text you write. You allow us to process it in order to run the service, which includes sending it to the AI provider that generates your recipes.
Recipes generated for you are yours to cook, share and adapt, with no restriction from us.
The photograph shown with a recipe is illustrative stock photography, not a picture of the dish generated for you. It is found by searching a photo library for the recipe's title, and it may differ noticeably from what you actually cook.

Kikook is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. It depends on external services that can fail or change, and it is run by one person.
Features may change or be removed. We may modify or discontinue the service, and will try to give reasonable notice where a change materially affects paying subscribers.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, for loss caused by AI-generated content being wrong, or for anything arising from the food-safety matters described above.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
You may stop using Kikook and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or abuses the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
Kikook is built by an independent developer in France. For any question about your account, your data or how Kikook works, write to contact@kikook.app.
There is no support desk yet: messages are read and answered personally, which sometimes takes a few days.
